Stripchat in 30 seconds
Stripchat is a token-based platform where registration is optional for watching and tokens pay for tips, privates, cam2cam and ticket shows. Launched in 2016 by Technius Ltd of Cyprus, it is the only major platform with documented VR streaming.
Stripchat is the most feature-complete of the tip-based platforms on paper: free public rooms, tokens for everything else, the most granular filter rail in the sector and a dedicated VR hub. It launched in 2016, is operated by Technius Ltd in Cyprus, and spent 2023–2025 designated as a Very Large Online Platform under the EU's Digital Services Act, which brought transparency obligations most competitors never had.
The platform's own domains were unreachable during this review. Verified facts come from its encyclopedia entry and EU records; feature and payment details rely on consistent independent reports and are labelled accordingly.
Viewers who want to narrow a large catalogue quickly by language, region, body type, price or show type; anyone with a VR headset; and people who want tip-based public shows with the option of cam2cam or a ticket show. It is not the choice for anyone who dislikes persistent sign-up prompts or prefers the quieter, curated feel of a premium site.
Free: watching public streams without registering. Free account: chatting, favourites and notifications. Tokens: tips, private shows, cam2cam, spy access, ticket and group shows, VR privates, fan clubs and paid media. A recurring membership with extra perks is reported but not required.
Private shows are priced per minute by each performer; independent reports describe a floor and typical bands rather than one fixed rate. Spy access, cam2cam, ticket and group shows and interactive-toy control are all reported. VR is documented: a WebXR hub streams selected rooms to Meta Quest and Apple Vision Pro headsets, and VR-tagged rooms can be filtered in the main grid.
A dark interface with a left sidebar that stacks gender, age, ethnicity, body type, specifics and language, above a large live grid whose tiles carry live, HD and VR badges, viewer counts and a country flag. Reviewers repeatedly single out the filter combinations as the deepest available. Search is present. Upsells are more prominent than on Chaturbate.
Responsive web and an installable web app; nothing in the app stores. Reports describe full viewing and tipping on mobile; private-show and cam2cam parity on phones was not verified from documentation.
Tokens are sold in packages whose per-token price falls with size; we do not reproduce package prices because only third-party quotes were available. Usefully, the private-rate filter bands let a visitor see what a minute in a given room costs before creating an account, which is why Stripchat scores above most peers on price visibility.
Reported payment methods: cards, PayPal, Paysafecard, bank transfer, Skrill and cryptocurrency, with region-specific options such as instant bank payments and mobile billing. None of this was verifiable on an official page this cycle.
Standard terms, privacy and DMCA pages are reported. Beyond that, the EU DSA designation (2023–2025) obliged the platform to publish transparency reports, and Ofcom's September 2025 bulletin lists it among providers that confirmed age checks for UK users. The platform told the BBC in 2025 that it upholds strict safety and age-verification standards.
Each dimension is scored 1–5 against the published rubric; the overall 8.2/10 is the weighted mean. Evidence basis: public documentation, reviewed 28 September 2026.

Tip-based free chat with the largest tag system
Chaturbate is the archetype of the free-to-watch, tip-funded cam site: public streams play without an account, and tokens pay for tips, private and spy shows. It is run by Multi Media LLC in California and has operated since 2011.
Premium, private-first cams billed per minute in credits
LiveJasmin is the reference premium platform: free chat is a non-nude preview and the core experience is a per-minute private show paid in credits. It has operated since 2001 and is run from Luxembourg by the Docler/Byborg group.
Tip-based cams with rate-band filters and Golden Ticket shows
CamSoda is a US token-based platform with free public rooms, private and spy shows, cam2cam and 'Golden Ticket' group shows. Founded in 2014 and operated by Secure Live Media, it exposes private-show price bands as browsing filters.
Watching public rooms is free and registration is optional. Chatting needs a free account; tips, privates, cam2cam and ticket shows need tokens.
Yes. A WebXR hub streams VR-tagged rooms to Meta Quest and Apple Vision Pro headsets, and VR rooms can be filtered in the main grid.
You can see per-minute private-rate bands in the filters before creating an account. Token package prices are shown once you are logged in.
Technius Ltd, a Cyprus company, was named as the provider when the EU designated Stripchat under the Digital Services Act in 2023.
Independent reports and a 2025 academic paper describe xHamsterLive as a white-label front end for Stripchat's catalogue. We review the original platform rather than its clones.
On documented evidence Stripchat leads our ranking: it matches Chaturbate on free access and feature range, beats it on filtering and VR, and carries more regulatory transparency than any peer. The gaps are the usual ones for tip sites — package prices only inside the account and no store apps.
