How many live rooms did the feed report?
A dated, downloadable observation from one connected platform. We count public-room records from the provider’s API and explain exactly what that number can—and cannot—tell you.

Counting method and reproducibility
The source is Stripchat’s account-authorized Models API for aggregators. BestLiveCam collected the response server-side and counted records with public status, a username, snapshot URL, click URL and valid geographic-restriction fields. Non-public and invalid records were excluded. No private-session content was accessed. This is our observation of provider-reported data, not a direct audit of every broadcaster.
For category totals, the first matching canonical tag in this order is used: couples, trans, men, girls. Records without one of these tags are unclassified. The HD total uses the provider’s broadcastHD flag; it is not a measured resolution or quality benchmark. Category totals sum to the public-room total. They describe provider labels rather than a person’s orientation, gender history or identity.
The live listing cache refreshes on demand after 30 seconds. On the first successful collection in a UTC day, an aggregate is recorded for that day. Days without successful traffic can be missing, and sampling times can vary. We store counts and timestamps, not broadcaster names, room links, images or video. This downloadable observation remains fixed; live data below can change.
Why this is not a “largest cam site” ranking
Only Stripchat currently has a global public-record observation in this dataset. Chaturbate’s endpoint is called in the visitor’s browser; BongaCams receives the visitor’s IP and a list limit. We do not add those results together as comparable whole-platform counts. Twelve reviewed platforms does not mean twelve monitored platforms.
A room is not necessarily a unique person, and a person can operate on more than one platform. This sample does not measure unique people, total customers, average audience, purchase conversion, prices or VR room volume. A single observation cannot establish growth, seasonality, peak hours or a 30-day trend.
Directory cards are filtered for the visitor’s country, region and browser languages. A global aggregate may therefore exceed the rooms available to a particular visitor. Listings remain affiliate-linked; revenue does not alter the count, category assignment or editorial score.
