Editorial standards

Sourcing

Every factual field on a platform page is either linked to a public source (the platform's own help centre, terms, pricing or policy pages, an encyclopedia entry with citations, or reputable trade press) or labelled Unknown. We do not copy descriptions from affiliate networks or platform marketing.

Evidence basis and hands-on testing

Each rating states its evidence basis. Documented means the score was derived from public documentation only; hands-on means an editor created an account and used the platform; mixed means both. At launch, ratings are documentation-based and every review says so. We never describe testing that did not happen.

Scores

Scores follow the published methodology. A score changes only when a documented fact changes or the methodology version changes, and the change is recorded in the page's changelog.

Dates

"Last reviewed" is the date an editor last checked the page's facts against their sources. We do not refresh dates to make content look current.

Use of AI tools

AI tools may assist with drafting and structuring. Facts, sources, scores and verdicts are the responsibility of the human editor named in the byline. AI is never credited as an author.

Commercial independence

Affiliate relationships are disclosed on every monetised page and listed on the affiliate disclosure page. Affiliate data is stored separately from content and cannot alter rankings, scores or facts.

Corrections

If you believe a fact is wrong, use the contact page with the source. Corrections are made on the page with a changelog entry noting what changed.
