Private, spy, ticket and cam2cam shows explained
What private, exclusive, spy, ticket, group and cam2cam shows are, how each is billed, basic etiquette, and which of the 12 platforms offer each format.

Key takeaways
- A private show is a one-to-one session billed per minute in tokens, credits or Gold at a rate set by the performer; an exclusive or true private is the same thing with spying switched off.
- Spy or voyeur access lets you watch someone else's private for a lower per-minute rate without interacting; ticket and group shows split the cost of one show across many viewers.
- Cam2cam and two-way audio are add-ons to a private show, never requirements, and are sometimes billed extra per minute.
- Names differ by platform: Golden Ticket, Candy Show, Gold Show, VIP Show and Premium all describe group formats.
- Check the rate before you start; the table at the end shows which formats each platform documents and which remain unverified.
Every cam site sells the same handful of things under different names. The names matter because they decide what you pay, who else is in the room and whether the performer can see you. This guide defines each format as it is used across the twelve platforms we review, explains how each is billed, and ends with a table of who offers what. It gives no prices, because rates are set per performer and change; the cost guide covers what to expect and the tokens guide covers the currencies involved.
Private and exclusive shows
A private show is a one-to-one session: you leave the public room, the performer streams to you alone, and the platform bills you per minute in its currency, tokens, credits or Gold. The rate is set by each performer on most platforms and shown in the room or on the tile before you start; BongaCams is reported to standardise rates per format across the site, and Streamate shows the per-minute rate in your local currency before you enter paid chat.
On many platforms other viewers can pay to spy on a standard private. An exclusive private closes that door. It goes by several names: Exclusive on Streamate, Jerkmate and LiveJasmin, True Private on MyFreeCams, Full Private on BongaCams. It normally costs more per minute than a standard private, and it is the format to choose if an audience you cannot see bothers you. Whether a distinct exclusive option exists on Chaturbate, Stripchat, CamSoda, Cam4, Flirt4Free, ImLive or XLoveCam could not be verified from documentation, so the table marks them unknown.
Streamate also runs a paid multi-viewer format called Premium: a private that several paying viewers share. It is a group format despite the name, and unrelated to the "premium" label this site uses for credit-based platforms.
Spy and voyeur modes
A spy show, also called voyeur mode or sneak peek, lets you watch a private show that another viewer is paying for. You pay a reduced per-minute rate, you cannot chat or make requests, and the performer is playing to the paying viewer, not to you. Performers can usually disable spying on their privates. It is documented or consistently reported on Chaturbate, Stripchat, CamSoda, BongaCams and MyFreeCams, as Voyeur on ImLive and Flirt4Free, as Sneak Peek on LiveJasmin, and on Cam4, where spy access is reported to be a perk of the Gold membership. No distinct spy mode is documented on Streamate or Jerkmate, and XLoveCam's status is unknown.
ImLive adds a related discovery format, a Multi-Viewer that shows several public feeds at once. It is not a spy mode, since the rooms are public, but the two are often confused.
Group, ticket and goal-funded shows
A ticket show sells access to one show to many viewers for a fixed price each; a group show does the same at a shared per-minute rate; a goal-funded show starts once viewers have collectively contributed a target amount. All three spread the cost of a performance across a room, which is why they are usually the cheapest way to see a full show on a tip-based platform. The naming is where platforms diverge most:
- Chaturbate: ticket shows and hidden-cam ticket shows, where the stream is hidden from anyone without a ticket.
- Stripchat: ticket and group shows.
- CamSoda: Golden Ticket shows, joined for a fixed token price.
- BongaCams: group chat at a reported standard rate. MyFreeCams: group and club shows.
- LiveJasmin: VIP Shows, a paid group alternative to the private.
- Flirt4Free: multi-user privates and group shows, plus Party Chat, a public room with tipping.
- Streamate and Jerkmate: Gold Shows, funded by viewer pledges toward a goal, plus Party Chat and the shared Premium format.
- ImLive: Candy Shows, unlocked by collective contributions toward a goal, and GroupCams, where two hosts stream together.
Group formats on Cam4 and XLoveCam could not be confirmed and are marked unknown. On every platform the show depends on how many people join: a ticket show that does not reach its threshold is normally cancelled with tickets refunded in tokens, so check the countdown and the target before buying.
Cam2cam, two-way audio and prepaid blocks
Cam2cam means switching on your own camera during a private show so the performer can see you. It is a private-show feature, never a requirement, and it is sometimes billed as a per-minute add-on on top of the private rate: independent reports describe a separately priced add-on on Stripchat, and LiveJasmin lists cam2cam and two-way audio as separate options you can filter for. ImLive is reported to offer an audio-only variant, Flirt4Free to support cam2cam on mobile, and CamSoda has a cam2cam toggle in its filters. BongaCams ties cam2cam to Gold status, granted after a first purchase. On Cam4 and MyFreeCams it is offered by individual performers but not confirmed as a platform feature.
Two-way audio is the same idea for your microphone; LiveJasmin documents it as a distinct add-on. Before switching either on, read what the platform says about your stream, keep identifying details out of frame and remember that the anonymity guide applies doubly once your face is involved. The cam2cam list covers the platforms where the feature is documented.
Block or prepaid sessions are the other add-on worth knowing. Streamate documents Block Sessions of fixed length bought up front at a discount, and ImLive is reported to sell prepaid sessions. You pay for a defined span of time instead of running an open-ended per-minute meter, which makes them the easiest format to budget.
How each format is billed
| Format | How it is billed | What to check first |
|---|---|---|
| Private | Per minute at the performer's rate; the meter runs until you or the performer end the show | The per-minute rate and whether spying is allowed |
| Exclusive or true private | Per minute, usually at a higher rate than a standard private | That the performer offers it as a distinct option |
| Spy or voyeur | Per minute at a reduced rate; no interaction | Whether the performer allows spying; on Cam4, whether Gold is needed |
| Ticket or Golden Ticket | One fixed price per viewer, paid up front | Start time, viewer target and what happens if the show is cancelled |
| Group, VIP Show or Premium | A shared per-minute rate per viewer | The rate and how many viewers are already in |
| Goal-funded (Gold Show, Candy Show) | Your contribution counts toward a goal; the show starts when it is met | What happens to contributions if the goal is not reached |
| Cam2cam or two-way audio | Included, or a per-minute add-on set per performer | The add-on rate and where your stream goes |
| Block or prepaid session | A fixed price for a fixed span, bought in advance | The length and whether unused time is refunded |
On every platform the balance is drawn from tokens or credits you bought earlier, so the real cost per minute depends on what you paid per token; the token calculator does that conversion. Streamate is the exception that shows a local-currency rate directly and lets you set a daily spending limit.
Etiquette basics
- Read the room first. The tip menu, the room rules and the performer's profile say what is on offer. Asking for things that are not listed, or for a free preview of a private, is the fastest way to be ignored or banned from the room.
- Know the rate before you start. It is in the room, on the tile or on the pre-entry screen. Do not enter a private to negotiate.
- Spying is silent. In a spy or voyeur session the performer is working for someone else. You cannot chat, and you should not try to through other channels.
- Cam2cam is optional both ways. A performer can decline to watch your stream and can end a show; so can you.
- Keep payment on the platform. A request to pay for a show by gift card, wallet or crypto outside the site is a red flag whoever makes it; the scams guide explains why.
- Do not record. Assume recording breaks the platform's terms and can end both the show and your account.
Which platforms offer which formats
The table reproduces each platform's fact sheet as of the review date. "Yes" means documented by the platform or consistently reported by independent sources; "Unknown" means we could not verify it and have not guessed. No platform in this review has a documented "No" for any of these formats, which says more about the state of platform documentation than about the formats.
| Platform | Private | Spy | Cam2cam | Group or ticket | Exclusive private |

Where a platform is marked unknown, the room itself is the source: performers list the formats they offer in their profile or room settings, and the option appears in the show menu when it exists. Our methodology explains how these fact-sheet values are set and rechecked.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a private show cost?
It depends on the performer's per-minute rate and on what you paid per token or credit. Most platforms show the rate in the room or on the tile before you start, and Streamate shows it in your local currency. We do not publish figures because rates are set per performer and change; the token calculator converts the rate you are shown into a cost per minute.
What is a spy show?
Paying a reduced per-minute rate to watch a private show that another viewer is paying for, without being able to chat or make requests. Performers can usually disable it, and some platforms call it voyeur mode or sneak peek.
What is a ticket show?
A show that many viewers join for a fixed ticket price instead of one viewer paying per minute. Chaturbate and Stripchat use the name ticket show, CamSoda calls it a Golden Ticket, and goal-funded variants such as Streamate's Gold Show and ImLive's Candy Show start once viewers have contributed enough.
What is cam2cam?
Sharing your own webcam with the performer during a private show so they can see you. It is optional, normally a private-show feature, and on some platforms billed as a per-minute add-on.
Is cam to cam safe?
It is as safe as the platform's privacy practices and your own setup. No platform we reviewed documents how it handles your stream on a page we could verify, so keep identifying details out of frame, never share your camera in a public room and treat the session as potentially recorded.
What is a Golden Ticket show?
CamSoda's name for a ticket show: viewers buy a ticket at a fixed token price and the show runs for everyone who holds one, instead of one viewer paying per minute for a private.
